Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Hampshire or PT Compact license, or willingness to obtain temporary NH licensure
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; hospital/acute care or inpatient physical therapy experience preferred
• Strong clinical competence administering formal standardized tests, scales, and tools (inpatient/acute care assessments)
• Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills; familiarity with hospital workflows and interdisciplinary care
• Ability to adapt to multiple units and patient populations across the hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and timely re-evaluations; document according to licensure, scope of practice, and department standards
• Deliver inpatient physical therapy interventions and discharge planning in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, case management)
• Advocate for and mentor interdisciplinary and disciplinary team members, contributing to clinical education and best practices
• Provide care throughout the hospital as needed, adjusting treatment plans to acute care and post-acute patient needs
• Verify and review provider orders; integrate pertinent medical information including lab values and vital signs into clinical decision-making
• Consider patients’ age, physical, emotional, social, economic, cultural, and vocational factors in individualized care planning
