- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 – 07:00), with rotated weekends
- Hours per Week: 36

Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) license or equivalent state/national certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required
- At least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (less than 2 years accepted)
- Ability to work night shifts and rotated weekends
- Must be able to complete orientation modules (average 5 hours, non-billable)
- No license hits allowed
- Former UChicago Medicine staff must be gone 7 months to return as a traveler
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality pediatric respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital setting
- Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in clinical systems
- Participate in unit orientation, competency validation, and annual training modules
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care and clear communication with patients and families
