• Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Savannah, GA 31405 — Thoracic Oncology Center (acute care)
• Assignment Length: 12/13 weeks (depending on start date)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 8-hour days, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (no on-call requirements)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Technology, Respiratory Care, or equivalent education/experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2–3 years clinical experience with pulmonary function testing (PFT) administration and spirometry
• Active professional respiratory license in Georgia and South Carolina
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Ability and willingness to travel between two clinical sites as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Administer pulmonary function tests (PFTs), spirometry, and other diagnostic pulmonary procedures per department policy
• Provide high-quality respiratory therapy and clinical support in an acute thoracic oncology setting
• Evaluate and troubleshoot preliminary PFT data and escalate findings to the clinical team when indicated
• Educate patients and families on pulmonary testing procedures, results, and post-test recommendations
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in MEDITECH and ensure compliance with department protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Support department needs by traveling between designated clinical sites as required
