Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – 13-Week Travel Assignment | Mission Hills, CA (91345)

Travel L&D RN opportunity in Mission Hills, California: 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital. • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Location: Mission Hills, CA 91345 (Greater Los Angeles area) — California nursing job
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Magnet Facility — Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Charting: Epic (Epic charting experience preferred)
• Scrubs: Any color; L&D & OR scrubs provided
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,260–$2,380/week

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2 years preferred) — OB nurse / perinatal experience preferred
• Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA City Fire Card (must be issued within last 30 days)
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the OR required
• Experience at a facility with high delivery volume (200+ deliveries/month) preferred
• Epic electronic health record experience preferred
• Ability to float to similar units as needed
• References: 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced L&D unit
• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with other obstetric procedures, maintaining OR standards
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Epic (perinatal and maternal documentation)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and physical therapy
• Support family-centered care and maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and families
• Participate in required orientation and complete all pre-start modules
• Float to similar units as required to meet staffing needs
