Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (Med/Surg RN or Surgical RN experience)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (Travel Nursing flexibility)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills
Primary Responsibilities (Med/Surg RN / Travel Nurse)
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients on the Med/Surg surgical unit
- Perform patient assessments, monitor post-operative progress, and document using MEDITECH
- Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and procedures as ordered
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
