Job Details — PICU Travel Nurse (RN)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Location: Las Vegas, NV 89109
• Setting: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU/PICU)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00PM - 7:00AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Details: 14 private rooms (+6 overflow in PICU), 43 staff members
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Qualifications — Pediatric Critical Care RN / PICU RN

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric critical care (PICU) experience required
• Pediatric cardiac experience preferred (CICU experience a plus)
• Active RN license
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Positive, energetic, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to float to PICU, NICU, PEDS, Pediatric ER, Mother Baby Unit (MBU/Nursery), and other units as needed

Primary Responsibilities — PICU / CICU RN

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease
• Monitor and manage complex patients using GE monitors, Avea ventilators, Medtronic/INVOS NIRS, Alaris pumps, Medfusion and Kangaroo feeding pumps
• Support patients on specialized therapies including ECMO (managed with perfusion/ECMO specialists) and CRRT (PrisMax and Prismaflex)
• Assist with and perform common unit procedures: central line/arterial line care, chest tube insertion/removal, bronchoscopy support, chest closure, and emergent surgical support
• Collaborate closely with congenital heart surgeons, pediatric cardiologists, intensivists, cardiac/critical care nurses, and respiratory therapists
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech and paper EMR systems
• Float to support other pediatric units hospital-wide as needed to ensure continuity of care
