  • On Call: One evening/week (5:30 pm – 7:00 am) and one weekend/month (Fri 5:30 pm – Mon 7:00 am)
  • Estimated Weekly Hours: 36–40 (typical schedule is 36 hours/week)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930–$2080/week

Qualifications (Cath Lab / EP Tech Requirements)

  • Minimum 1 year of direct experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures/EP lab
  • Completion of a radiologic technology program (two-year) or equivalent
  • ARRT registration and/or RCIS certification required
  • Current Ohio state licensure (or ability to obtain Ohio license prior to start)
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications
  • Experience scrubbing for cardiac interventional and electrophysiology procedures (pacemaker implants, ablations, device implants)
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring systems

Responsibilities (Cardiac Cath Lab & EP)

  • Function as scrub tech, circulator, or monitor tech for electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization procedures under physician direction
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients and families about planned procedures and peri-procedural expectations
  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths, pacemaker/ICD implants, EP ablations, Watchman procedures, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), tilt-table tests, and pulmonary embolism thrombectomies
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Phillips and other vendor systems), ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and adherence to radiation safety
  • Monitor and record patient hemodynamics, operate monitoring equipment, and communicate critical data to the care team
  • Assist in resuscitative efforts and respond to cardiac emergencies according to ACLS protocols
  • Recover patients post-procedure, monitor vitals, assess access sites, and ensure safe return to hemostasis
  • Transport patients, restock procedure rooms, and maintain sterile supplies and instrumentation
  • Participate in ongoing education, in-services, competency validations, and professional development as a Cath Lab / EP technologist
  • Perform basic administrative duties related to scheduling procedures and patient documentation; accept temporary reassignment as needed
