Job Requirements
- Active RN license and eligibility to practice in Ohio
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred in Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care nursing setting
- Strong cardiovascular assessment skills and telemetry interpretation experience
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced hospital environment and work collaboratively with the clinical team
- Comfort with night shift scheduling and delivering high-quality patient care with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, organization, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Cardiac Stepdown patients with complex and changing needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, telemetry data, and patient condition, and report changes promptly
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to safe nursing practice
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support recovery
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation to support quality outcomes and patient safety
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Respond to patient needs with professionalism, empathy, and strong clinical decision-making
