Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract at a leading academic medical center in Cleveland, OH. Seeking experienced cardiac/telemetry RNs with ACLS, BLS, and progressive care experience to join our travel nursing team.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
• Position: Cardiac Stepdown RN (progressive care / telemetry)
• Setting: HVTI-Stepdown unit with potential float to J1-2, J33, and ED
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse – On-site role

Top Qualifications (Cardiac Nursing / Travel Nurse Requirements)

• Minimum 18 months recent Cardiac Stepdown or progressive care (telemetry) experience; travel nurse experience accepted
• Permanent Ohio RN license or a Compact State RN license in hand
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Cardiac Stepdown
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Key Responsibilities (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Progressive Care Nurse)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients in a progressive care setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including ECG rhythm recognition and telemetry interpretation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to similar patient-care areas (J1-2, J33, ED) as needed
• Accurately document patient care and communicate changes in patient status
• Participate in orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training modules
