• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am), 3 shifts/week
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Unit: J5-2 Thoracic Surgery Stepdown (may float to J1-2, J33, ED)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, CVICU stepdown, or related specialty prior to travel
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Active NIHSS certification
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday; ability to float to similar patient-population units (J1-2, J33, ED)

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to cardiac stepdown and thoracic surgery patients on the HVTI-Stepdown unit
• Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and prompt recognition of ECG rhythms and arrhythmias
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide post-operative and post-procedure nursing care following thoracic and cardiac surgeries
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress clearly and in a timely manner
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development
