- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
- Setting: HVTI-Stepdown Unit (J5-2 Thoracic Surgery Stepdown) – telemetry/stepdown nursing
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/15/2026 – End: 8/14/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am)
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site (Cardiac Stepdown RN, Telemetry Nurse)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown, Thoracic Stepdown, or Stepdown RN experience (travel experience accepted)
- Current Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required
- Ability to work rotating shifts and at least every other holiday
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation (must achieve acceptable scores)
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities / Clinical Duties
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and post-operative thoracic surgery patients
- Continuous telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation; timely assessment and escalation for changing cardiac conditions
- Administer medications safely, follow medication administration protocols, and complete accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate proactively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Float as needed to units J1-2, J33, and ED to support similar patient populations and hospital staffing needs
- Participate in ongoing education, clinical training, and competency assessments to maintain clinical excellence
- Deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care and provide patient education related to cardiac and thoracic conditions
