Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown | Orange, California

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
- Location: Orange, California
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; 36 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular stepdown and telemetry
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
- Float Requirement: May float when overstaffed
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of application
- At least 2 years of registered nursing experience, including cardiac stepdown or telemetry experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Current CPI or MAB certification as required for the assignment
- Demonstrated Epic electronic medical record experience documented in professional work history
- Two recent supervisor references
- Strong cardiac assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical documentation skills
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for assigned patients
- Provide attentive nursing care for patients recovering from cardiac and cardiovascular procedures
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration according to established protocols
- Care for patients with pacemakers, temporary or permanent devices, and ventilatory support needs
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization, cardiac angiography, TAVR, and related interventions
- Support patients recovering from myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
- Evaluate patient outcomes, revise the plan of care as needed, and make appropriate referrals
- Advocate for patients and families while delivering safe, age-appropriate, evidence-based care
