Physician Assistant Job Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm; Night call 6pm–7am; Weekend call 7am–7am with rounding approximately 10am–4pm
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Flexible Options: 1 week on / 1 week off or weekend-only providers considered
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $4660–$5000 per week

Physician Assistant Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related surgical specialty
• Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
• Ability to first assist in procedures including CABG, thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, and aortic cases
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Cardiothoracic Surgery Responsibilities

• First assist in scheduled cardiothoracic surgical cases
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage for emergency off-hours cases
• Round on and manage patients in the hospital setting
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and other advanced procedures as required
• Divide and manage patient lists with the team, discuss cases with physicians, and complete patient sign-off
