Job Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Ohio medical license required
- Fellowship training required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Must be able to perform all required cardiothoracic surgery procedures
- Self-query NPDB pulled within 30 days of presentation required
- Availability for the listed coverage dates required
Responsibilities
- Provide locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage for assigned dates
- Manage adult patients in a hospital-based rounding and call setting
- Perform required procedures including CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, heart valve repair/replacement, and mitral valve repair
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
- Collaborate with support staff, including physician assistants, to ensure smooth patient care
- Work within an established surgical environment with EPIC documentation
- Provide timely, high-quality surgical care while maintaining strong communication with the care team
