Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Nebraska
- At least 1 year of professional RN experience; cardiac catheterization or procedural nursing experience is strongly preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work four 10-hour day shifts and fulfill the full 40-hour weekly schedule
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
- Complete patient assessments, verify clinical information, and prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, hemodynamic status, and patient response throughout procedures and recovery
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols
- Maintain procedural safety, infection prevention, and accurate nursing documentation in Epic
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to urgent or emergent situations
- Collaborate with cardiologists, procedural staff, and the broader interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
