Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
- Hours per Week: 40
- Start Date: June 22, 2026
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (with potential for permanent placement)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (PA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic setting (outpatient RN experience preferred)
- Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus (electronic health record / EMR experience)
- Ability to commute to the practice within 30 minutes of the clinic location
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Willingness to complete required EMR and HIPAA training
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care nursing services and clinical support in an outpatient clinic setting (clinic RN duties)
- Serve as a resource for clinical questions and provide direction to clinical staff and medical assistants
- Streamline workflows to promote patient experience and staff satisfaction in a busy Philadelphia primary care practice
- Develop and align communication norms for staff (email, huddles, meetings)
- Precept and orient new nursing staff; support onboarding and training for outpatient nursing roles
- Collaborate with the Professional Development team on annual competencies and continuing education
- Act as Point of Care Testing (POCT) superuser and assist with staff training for testing and documentation
- Oversee clinical supplies, vaccine administration processes, and vaccine storage monitoring (supply, inventory, expiration dates)
- Assist with monthly EOC rounds and compliance reporting to ensure clinic quality standards
- Perform telephone triage, symptom assessment, and care coordination for incoming patient calls and messages
- Run targeted RN clinics (blood pressure, diabetes management, UTI follow-up) and perform Annual Medicare Wellness Visits after training
