About the Role
This position sits within a Neuroscience Institute, supporting a pipeline of upcoming stroke and device clinical trials. You’ll play a key role in bridging research and clinical care—working closely with ED, stroke unit, and Neuro ICU teams to identify and guide eligible patients into trials.
This is a research-focused RN role with some clinical components—ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of coordination, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clinical trial execution from start to finish
- Assist with IRB submissions, protocol development, and informed consent processes
- Identify, screen, and recruit eligible patients
- Perform clinical assessments and support medication administration as needed
- Ensure all study documentation meets regulatory (IRB/FDA) compliance
- Collaborate with research coordinators, administrators, and nurse leaders
- Educate frontline nursing teams on active trials and eligibility criteria
Requirements
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- 4–5 years of clinical research experience
- Experience in an academic medical center strongly preferred
- Active NJ RN license
- CRC/CRCC certification preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
