- Position: Locum Tenens Physician Assistant – Critical Care ICU

- Setting: Multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off may be accommodated
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,510 – $4,160

Physician Assistant Job Requirements
- Active Physician Assistant license with valid state and national licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting; 1–2 years preferred
- Strong proficiency with critical care and ICU procedures, including central line and arterial line insertions
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Ability to provide case logs during credentialing
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and update plans of care
- Perform ongoing assessments and implement appropriate interventions
- Enter orders and complete detailed documentation, including H&Ps, consultations, follow-up notes, and procedure notes
- Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate findings to the care team
- Work closely with ICU nursing staff to support patient care needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift
- Perform invasive procedures as credentialed, including central line and arterial line insertions
