• Position: Locum Tenens Physician Assistant – Critical Care ICU

• Setting: Multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU
• Start Date: 11/9/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off may be accommodated
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,510 – $4,160

Physician Assistant Job Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license with valid state and national licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting; 1–2 years preferred
• Strong proficiency with critical care and ICU procedures, including central line and arterial line insertions
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to provide case logs during credentialing
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and update plans of care
• Perform ongoing assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Enter orders and complete detailed documentation, including H&Ps, consultations, follow-up notes, and procedure notes
• Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate findings to the care team
• Work closely with ICU nursing staff to support patient care needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift
• Perform invasive procedures as credentialed, including central line and arterial line insertions
