Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist / Radiologic Technologist (Travel Contract) – Seattle, WA
Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist opportunity in Seattle, WA — 13-week contract in a busy cath lab with hybrid OR; RCIS and cardiac cath experience required. Join a leading Seattle healthcare team in the Capitol Hill neighborhood for an engaging travel radiology tech role.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,320 – $2,490
- Location: Seattle, WA 98122 (Capitol Hill) — Seattle cath lab jobs, Washington healthcare
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 12 hours (07:00 – 19:00), 3 shifts per week
- On-Call: Required (typically 6 evenings and one weekend per 6 weeks; 30-minute response time)
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Scrubs: Provided
- Setting: 3 cath labs + hybrid OR — interventional cardiology, PCI and structural heart cases
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience — travel cath lab techs only (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Travel experience required — prior travel radiology tech or travel cath lab technologist preferred
- Valid Radiology/Cardiology certification; Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with Epic and McKesson charting systems preferred
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication system and SBAR communication
- Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures: diagnostic catheterizations, left/right heart cath, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, rotablator atherectomy
- Support complex device cases: IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, temporary pacemakers, ventricular assist devices
- Act as scrub tech: set up equipment, maintain sterile field, prep access sites, perform EKG lead placement
- Operate and assist with fluoroscopy and Siemens imaging equipment
- Monitor patients continuously and recognize/respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Participate in vascular closure procedures (Perclose, StarClose) and assist with hemostasis
- Follow isolation precautions, proper PPE, and complete required pre-start and annual modules
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Experience with Epic, McKesson, Pyxis
- Strong SBAR communication and teamwork in high-acuity cardiac settings
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced cath lab and hybrid OR environments
