CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Mason City, IA. 13-week travel nurse contract; cardiac OR experience required; competitive weekly pay $2,550–$2,680. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,550 - $2,680
• Location: Mason City, IA 50401 — Mason City healthcare opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 9, 2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM), mostly day shift
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: 10-12 days/month (CVOR call rotation)
• Unit: Operating Room (CVOR) — cardiac surgery / cardiovascular OR

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact state) — eligible travel nurse licensure
• CVOR / cardiac OR experience required (minimum 1 year) — perioperative nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Ability to take HEART cases (cardiac surgery competency)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, health history, competency testing, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular and cardiac surgical procedures in the CVOR as a perioperative nurse
• Provide comprehensive perioperative patient care, including pre-op assessment, intra-op support, and post-op recovery
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OR staff to ensure safe cardiac surgery workflows
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, infection control, and patient safety protocols
• Participate in the CVOR call rotation as required
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records (EMR)
