Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Epic HIM Analyst, Epic Analyst, HIM Analyst, or similar Health IT / EHR Analyst role
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Epic HIM modules (document management, release of information, coding interfaces, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and written/verbal communication skills for clinical and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work on-site in Pittsburgh and collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, revenue cycle, IT)
  • Familiarity with other EHR systems (Allscripts, Meditech, Athena, Cerner) and interoperability concepts is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and optimize Epic HIM modules to ensure efficient health information management workflows and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical, HIM, and IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement Epic HIM enhancements
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for Epic HIM applications to maximize adoption and reduce support tickets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HIM systems, EHR integrations, and document management processes
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing (UAT), configuration validation, and go-live support for Epic HIM changes
