Job Requirements (Qualifications)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Epic MyChart Analyst or similar clinical IT analyst role working with Epic MyChart/patient portal
  • Strong knowledge of Epic MyChart functionality, patient engagement features, and clinical workflows
  • Experience with EHR systems (Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, Athena, or Epic) is a plus
  • Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical Informatics, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with system upgrades, UAT/testing, build documentation, and end-user training

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and optimize Epic MyChart modules and the patient portal for clinicians and patients
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, informatics, and IT to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve Epic MyChart issues
  • Analyze clinical workflows and recommend MyChart configurations to enhance patient engagement and care coordination
  • Lead or support testing, validation, and documentation for Epic MyChart updates and releases (UAT, regression testing)
  • Provide training, build guides, and best-practice recommendations to staff on Epic MyChart features and patient-facing functionality
  • Participate in EHR integration efforts, patient portal optimization projects, and cross-departmental IT initiatives
