- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3:00 PM–3:30 AM
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Department or emergency room setting
- Emergency nursing experience with the ability to care for patients across a broad range of acuity levels
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday coverage
- Completion of required clinical competency, licensing, background, health, and facility onboarding requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform rapid nursing assessments and prioritize care for patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other members of the emergency care team
- Provide compassionate patient and family education during stressful and time-sensitive situations
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and discharge instructions
- Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered Emergency Department environment
