Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for verification
- At least 1 year of recent emergency room or emergency department nursing experience
- Current clinical credentials required for emergency nursing practice
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to provide professional references, resume, and skills checklist
- Required immunizations and occupational health clearances must be completed before the assignment start date
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, patient assessment, and emergency response skills
Travel ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
- Perform focused patient assessments, support emergency department triage, and complete ongoing monitoring and reassessments
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to urgent clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Assist with emergency procedures and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient emergency care environment
