Travel ER Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Columbus, OH (43210). Level I Trauma Center; nights; 13-week travel nursing contract.
Job Details – Travel Nurse Opportunity (Emergency Department RN)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 (travel nurse pay)

- Setting: Emergency Department, Level I Trauma Center (trauma nurse, ED nurse)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Parking: Multiple options available for travelers, including guaranteed garage and shuttle services
Job Requirements – Emergency Department RN / Travel Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ED experience preferred)
- Valid Ohio RN license or active compact RN license required at time of submission (travel nurse licensure)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required
- Graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center and experience at stroke-certified and STEMI-certified facilities preferred
- Ability to float as needed to other units (acute care, step-down)
- Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- First-time travelers accepted — open to travel nurse candidates
Responsibilities – Emergency Room Nurse (ED RN / Trauma Nurse)
- Provide high-quality emergency care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients (emergency care, acute care nursing)
- Perform triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, and administer emergency medications
- Manage procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma cases, psych holds, and pediatric emergencies
- Use EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management (ED documentation, electronic health records)
- Float to other units as required; collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
- Work every other or every third weekend as scheduled
- Collaborate with respiratory services, pharmacy, unit secretaries, and physicians to coordinate patient care
- Maintain typical patient ratios of ~1:3.5 in the emergency department
