• Position: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Location: Waimea, HI 96796 — Kauai, Hawaii (Kauai nursing jobs / Hawaii travel nurse)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Duration: 13 weeks (with possibility of extension)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (80 hours per two-week period)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500–$2,630
• Shift: Variable shifts required (AM 7:00–19:00 or PM 19:00–7:00, with possible 8-hour day, evening, or night shifts)
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts (any)
• Openings: 1
• On-Call: No call required

Job Requirements (ER RN / ED)

• Active RN license in the United States
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ER/ED) nursing experience (required)
• Ability to work all assigned shifts, including days, nights, and variable patterns
• Willingness to float to Long Term Care (LTC) or ICU departments as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities (Emergency Department)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and initiate evidence-based interventions for acute care situations
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patient status per ER protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and disposition
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Float to LTC or ICU as operational needs require while maintaining safe and effective patient care
