Job Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Active California medical license required
  • DEA registration required
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
  • Experience with general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients
  • Strong clinical skills in ventilation management and acute volume and blood pressure management
  • Clean malpractice and NPDB history preferred for urgent locum tenens coverage dates

Responsibilities

  • Provide general anesthesia services for outpatient surgical cases
  • Perform preoperative patient evaluations and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Monitor and manage ventilation, circulation, and hemodynamic status during procedures
  • Support efficient workflows for less critical cases in a clinic-based setting
  • Collaborate closely with the care team to help ensure safe, high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication throughout coverage
