Job Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
  • Board certification or fellowship training required
  • Cardiac anesthesia fellowship training required
  • Active physician license required
  • ECFMG and FLEX required, if applicable
  • Minimum of 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing general and cardiac cases

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the anesthesia department
  • Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgery and other medical procedures
  • Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and review patient history
  • Obtain and verify informed consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expectations with patients
  • Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitor physiological condition throughout the perioperative period
  • Respond to changing patient needs and perform clinical interventions as needed
