Board-certified anesthesiologists: take on a short-term locum tenens anesthesiology opportunity in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, with a dynamic surgical case mix, call coverage, and a supportive perioperative team.

  • Position: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,570-$3,000
  • Start Date: December 28, 2026
  • End Date: January 3, 2027
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Coverage: Weekday clinical shifts, weekday night call, and weekend 24-hour call coverage
  • Schedule Highlights: Typical daytime coverage runs 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, with additional call coverage as assigned
  • Location: Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, a scenic Central Wisconsin community with riverfront views, parks, trails, and outdoor recreation
  • Certification: Board certification required
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
  • Board certified in Anesthesiology
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Ability to manage a broad anesthesia case mix including adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma, obstetric, and regional anesthesia cases
  • Experience with general, spinal, epidural, regional, and obstetrical anesthesia preferred
  • Experience with neurosurgical, thoracic, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, and open heart anesthesia preferred
  • Comfort with pain management techniques, ventilation management, and acute volume/blood pressure management preferred
  • Experience with line placement and CRNA supervision preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia coverage for a wide range of surgical specialties
  • Support cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, obstetric, pediatric, regional, and thoracic procedures
  • Deliver high-quality anesthesia care across general and specialty cases
  • Manage day coverage and call responsibilities throughout the assignment
  • Perform or support advanced anesthesia services as needed, including spinal, epidural, regional, and pain management techniques
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative care
