  • Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract), full-time
  • Start Date: August 2026 (Ongoing)
  • Duration: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,390 – $7,790 (locum tenens anesthesia pay)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • Shifts: Mix of 8-hour days, 10-hour days (10 Hour Days), and 12-hour shifts available; 10-hour days preferred
  • Call: Required (including potential weekend pager coverage)
  • Setting / Case Mix: 17 main operating rooms, 7 day surgery rooms, specials, cath labs, endoscopy, radiology; trauma and general cases; patient demographics adolescent–geriatric (majority >12)
  • EMR: EPIC (experience with EPIC EMR preferred)

CRNA Job Requirements

  • Active Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credential (NBCRNA)
  • Current Idaho RN license and Idaho DEA & CSR (Controlled Substance Registration/CDS)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (facility requirement)
  • Full-time availability (facility requires full-time coverage)
  • Willingness to take call, including weekends as needed
  • Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience required; experience in high-acuity or trauma anesthesia preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative anesthesia care for trauma and general surgery patients across multiple ORs and procedural areas
  • Perform spinal blocks; no advanced regional anesthesia required
  • Independently conduct pre-operative assessments and manage intraoperative and post-anesthesia care
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage and weekend pager duties
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and comply with facility policies and controlled substance protocols
