Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license eligible for practice in Texas
- Graduate-level education from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current national certification appropriate to the Nurse Practitioner role
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and collaborative patient care
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and electronic health record documentation skills
General Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Develop diagnoses and individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Prescribe medications and coordinate follow-up care within the scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and clinical progress accurately and promptly
