Job Details
- Location: Tukwila, WA (serving the Seattle area and King County; exact travel hospice territory determined during interview)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel Hospice RN, On-Site
- Shift: Weekend On Call – Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 8:00 AM (weekend on-call hospice RN role)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of hospice nursing experience within the past 3 years (home hospice or palliative care experience preferred)
- Experience with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform on-call hospice responsibilities across an assigned territory
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and palliative care to patients and families during weekend on-call hours as a home hospice nurse
- Respond promptly to patient needs, symptom management concerns, and emergencies throughout the assigned Tukwila/Seattle territory
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement individualized hospice care plans focused on comfort and quality of life
- Document care, visits, and communication accurately using HCHB EMR (Homecare Homebase)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice team members (clinical staff, social work, chaplaincy) to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
- Offer emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their loved ones during end-of-life care situations
