Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $860–$920
- Location: Penn Cardiology - Limerick, 410 W. Linfield Trappe Road - Suite 100B, Limerick, PA 19468 (on-site)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, shifts between 7:30am–5:00pm
- Hours per Week: 40
- Duration: 14 weeks (potential for extension or conversion to full-time)
- Role: Cardiology Medical Assistant / Clinical Support for Physician Assistants
- Scrub Color: Maroon/Burgundy
- Training: 5-hour onboarding session prior to start; HIPAA module (15 minutes online)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a physician office or clinical setting
- Cardiology experience preferred; familiarity with stress testing and EKGs is a plus
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
- Ability to complete compliance requirements promptly (medicals and drug screens within 72 hours of award acceptance)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vitals, and document findings accurately in the medical record (EPIC experience beneficial)
- Perform EKGs and assist with cardiology procedures and stress test preparation
- Provide direct clinical support to physician assistants and cardiology providers
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and follow infection control protocols
- Assist with patient flow, appointment preparation, and clinical supplies management
- Participate in required onboarding, training, and compliance processes
