CNA Job Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license – Vermont or compact state
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a CNA in healthcare settings
  • At least 1 year of acute care experience in hospital jobs
  • Prior travel CNA assignment experience preferred
  • Epic documentation experience within the past 2 years (required)
  • Reliable personal or rental vehicle (no public transportation available)
  • Ability to work every other weekend and adjust schedule to meet unit needs

CNA Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and clinical support to adults in an acute Med/Surg hospital setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other healthcare team members
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR system
  • Support patient safety and infection control protocols
  • Float to similar hospital units as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive healthcare work environment
