Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting
- Ability and commitment to work overnight 12-hour shifts (night shift CNA)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining patient safety
- BLS certification preferred but not required (state-specific requirements may apply)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff (hospital CNA duties)
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting
- Monitor and promptly report changes in patient condition to nurses and clinical team
- Perform routine tasks including vital signs, patient hygiene, repositioning, and safe transfers
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Accurately document care provided and maintain patient records per hospital policies
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support high-quality patient outcomes
