CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, radiologic technologist, or in a closely related diagnostic imaging role
- ARRT certification
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Mammography technologist credentials or experience, as applicable to the assignment
- Ability to work on-site in an acute-care hospital environment
- Strong patient-care, communication, and teamwork skills
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform CT and related diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort and cooperation
- Operate CT, X-ray, and other imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards
- Review imaging studies for technical quality and promptly communicate relevant concerns to the appropriate clinical team
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required records in Cerner
- Follow radiation-safety, infection-control, and hospital policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team
