  • Role: Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD / RDN) – Travel Dietitian, Pediatric LTAC
  • Setting: Pediatric Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility / Food and Nutrition Services
  • Unit: Food and Nutrition Services — clinical dietitian role
  • Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 16:30)
  • Weekly Hours: 40

  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,580 – $1,700

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian with pediatric experience, including enteral nutrition and enteral feeding management
  • Current RD/RDN certification required
  • BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR) required
  • Active Virginia license or compact state license at time of submission
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred
  • Ability to provide 2 professional references
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Ability to float to other units within scope as needed
  • Compliance with facility policies, including natural nail policy and background screening

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for pediatric LTAC patients
  • Manage and monitor enteral nutrition, enteral feeding regimens, and nutrition-related orders in collaboration with clinical teams
  • Implement, evaluate, and adjust nutrition interventions to optimize patient outcomes
  • Document assessments, plans, and progress accurately in Epic charting system
  • Provide patient- and family-centered education on nutrition, enteral feeding, and care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and speech therapists
  • Participate in orientation modules, ongoing professional development, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Float to other units within scope as needed to support departmental needs
