Join an outpatient OB/GYN clinic in New Lenox, Illinois, as a Medical Assistant and provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a consistent daytime schedule. This travel healthcare assignment is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant seeking an 11-week contract in the southwest Chicago suburbs, with convenient access to the greater Chicagoland area.
Medical Assistant Job Details

- Duration: Approximately 11 weeks, anticipated through mid-February 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $990–$1,070
- Shifts per Week: 3 day shifts
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shift designation
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Orientation: 8 hours
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Medical Assistant Job Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant certification or nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience; outpatient clinic or OB/GYN experience is preferred
- Current Illinois license or applicable credential in hand, as required for the assignment
- Strong patient-care, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work the listed weekday daytime schedule and complete required orientation and facility modules
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy, patient safety, and professional healthcare standards
OB/GYN Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for OB/GYN visits and provide professional, compassionate support throughout each appointment
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information
- Assist OB/GYN providers with examinations, treatments, and in-office clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies before and between patient visits
- Collect and handle patient specimens according to established protocols
- Document patient care accurately in the designated electronic health record or charting system
- Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions as directed
- Coordinate with nurses, providers, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and a positive care experience
