Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel MRI Technologist (On-Site Hospital)
• Location: Farmington, CT 06032 (Connecticut healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: November 14, 2025
• End Date: February 12, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,600 – $2,790
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts – Every Saturday/Sunday (8-hour shifts: 7a-3:30p, 7:30a-4p, or 8a-4:30p) and every Monday/Tuesday (10-hour shifts: 7a-5:30p or 7:30a-6p)
• On-Call: Required as needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 (Adult ER, inpatient, and outpatient)

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• ARRT (R) (MRI) certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with GE or Siemens MRI systems
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous travel healthcare or travel MRI experience preferred
• Active Connecticut state license (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Covid and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious declinations accepted)

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for adult ER, inpatient, and outpatient patients
• Operate and troubleshoot GE and Siemens MRI equipment
• Conduct Cardiac MRI and Functional MRI procedures (preferred)
• Document patient information and scan results accurately in EPIC EMR
• Participate in mandatory overtime rotation to ensure radiology unit coverage
• Deliver compassionate patient care and maintain MRI safety standards
