Job Details

  • Location: Nampa, ID 83687 — travel assignment, local candidates and travel technologists welcome
  • Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department (hospital radiology, vascular interventional procedures)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
  • Shifts: 4x10 hour day shifts per week (Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:00pm), variable day off each week
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,710 – $2,920
  • No call, weekend, or holiday requirements
  • Orientation: 3 days to 1 week of department-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required — experience with IR procedures, fluoroscopy, and sterile technique
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist — ARRT (R) required or RCIS / IR technologist certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Travel experience preferred for travel radiology jobs
  • Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred (electronic charting and imaging workflow)
  • Ability to float to Meridian and Boise IR departments if needed (rare)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including vascular access, general body tube placements, central and peripheral line placements, stents, drains, Y-90 procedures, embolization, and IVIS
  • Operate and monitor fluoroscopy and imaging equipment; ensure image quality and radiation safety
  • Work collaboratively with a team: 1 tech scrubbed in, 1 tech circulating, and 1 tech in the control room to support Interventional Radiologists and PAs
  • Prepare procedural trays, maintain sterile fields, and assist with patient positioning and transport
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic and McKesson systems; follow hospital policies and safety standards
  • Adhere to dress code (scrubs provided) and participate in department orientation and ongoing training
