This assignment provides hands-on experience with adult and geriatric cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, and vascular procedures in a state-of-the-art facility.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,420 - $2,600
- Location: Vancouver, WA 98686 (Vancouver, Washington — Southwest WA)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30), variable days of week
- Call: One night per week, one weekend every 4 weeks
- Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab — Cath Lab / Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Role: Cath Lab Technologist / Radiologic Technologist / Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS preferred)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent hands-on experience in a Cath Lab, interventional radiology, or similar hospital setting
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT-R) in Washington or RCIS certification (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- ARRT- R (Radiography) certification if applying as Radiology Technologist
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Experience with cardiac interventions (angioplasty, stent placement), pacemaker procedures, vascular access, and angiography preferred
- Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy imaging systems, contrast administration, and sterile technique
- Community hospital experience preferred
- No felony background; must provide a reference from charge, supervisor, or manager (preferably within the last year)
- Travelers must complete assigned education and orientation modules within one week of assignment start
Responsibilities
- Assist cardiologists and interventional teams during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker insertions, and other interventional cardiology cases
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (fluoroscopy/angiography systems), ensure image quality, and support radiation safety protocols
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, manage instrumentation, and assist with vascular and venous access procedures
- Monitor patient hemodynamics, assist with sedation monitoring, and provide accurate clinical documentation in the electronic record
- Perform specialized procedures as required (embolization support, thoracentesis assistance, IR support) and troubleshoot imaging systems
- Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent cases as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and positive patient experience
- Complete all required compliance modules, orientation tasks, and competency validation
