Travel Radiation Therapist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380–$2,550
- Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Radiation Oncology
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, generally 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; start time may be flexible between approximately 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Position Type: Travel assignment
Radiation Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 18 months of permanent experience as a Radiation Therapist before beginning a travel assignment
- Permanent Ohio license in hand at the time of submission; qualifying compact licensure may be accepted
- Active, current radiation therapy credentials and required professional certifications with no pending items
- Current compliance with applicable health screening, immunization, background-check, and drug-screen requirements
- Ability to complete required orientation, competency assessments, fingerprinting, and pre-start learning modules
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills in a radiation oncology environment
Radiation Therapy Responsibilities
- Provide safe, accurate, and compassionate radiation therapy services to oncology patients
- Prepare patients for radiation treatment and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring manner
- Operate radiation therapy equipment according to established safety and treatment protocols
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
- Verify treatment plans, patient identity, positioning, and required documentation before and during radiation therapy
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the clinical team
- Maintain accurate treatment records and follow department quality, safety, and infection-control standards
