Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in good standing
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS knowledge preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Experience with ventilatory equipment, patient transport, and acute respiratory care
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop appropriate respiratory treatment plans
- Administer routine and intensive respiratory care using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
- Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and arterial punctures
- Support tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube procedures, and mechanical ventilation management
- Assist with respiratory-related procedures and patient transport as needed
- Document treatments, patient response, and therapy progress accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and collaborate with physicians and care teams
- Maintain and monitor respiratory equipment to support quality patient care at all times
