Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required; 2 years preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; qualified Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) candidates may be considered
- Active professional respiratory therapy license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work overnight shifts, alternating weekends, and alternating holidays
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and commitment to safe, compassionate patient care
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory assessments and provide appropriate respiratory care for hospitalized patients
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies in accordance with patient needs and established protocols
- Monitor patient respiratory status and communicate significant changes to the interdisciplinary care team
- Support the evaluation and management of oxygen delivery systems and other respiratory equipment
- Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and clinical interventions accurately
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
