Job Details – Respiratory Therapist Travel Job
- Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104 — Hospital respiratory therapist opportunity in the Dallas–Fort Worth area; great local dining, culture, and community.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 6:30 PM), rotating weekends
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,120 – $1,200
- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy, 3rd Floor, Tower A (large 368-bed facility)
- Dress Code: Black scrubs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active CRT or RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist with ICU experience (ICU respiratory therapist)
- Proven experience in ventilator management and ABG analysis
- Familiarity with ventilators and devices: V60, Hamilton C1, PB40, PB980, Metaneb, EPOC ABG system, Nitric, AIRVO
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player mindset
- Ability to float to all hospital areas as needed (facility-wide respiratory coverage)
- Preferred: CVICU experience and Nitric management (cardiovascular ICU experience is a plus)
Responsibilities – Hospital Respiratory Therapist Duties
- Provide respiratory therapy and patient care across the hospital, including ICU and specialty units
- Perform ABG sampling and analysis and manage ventilator settings for critically ill patients
- Manage Nitric therapy when indicated and monitor high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
- Assist with bronchoscopy and support during intubation procedures
- Administer nebulizer treatments and other respiratory interventions
- Document respiratory care and patient assessments using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Work rotating weekends as part of the department schedule
