• Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel / Hospital Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Largo, FL 33770 (Pinellas County) — Largo, Florida respiratory therapy jobs
• Setting: Hospital – Main Campus, 1st Floor (Respiratory Therapy, WEST FLORIDA DIVISION)
• Contract Type: Travel (13-week contract)
• Start / End Dates: February 10, 2026 – May 12, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); 36 hours/week
• Positions: 3 Respiratory Therapists (RRT)
• Facility Size: 290-bed hospital — hospital respiratory care environment
• Scrub Color: Gray (RT)
• Parking: Garage parking available on the third and fourth floors
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1220–$1310/week

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in a hospital respiratory therapy setting
• Critical care skills with proven ventilator management experience
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills
• Experience with Servo and 840 ventilators preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation
• Team player, positive attitude, and flexibility to float as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care and therapies across inpatient units in a 290-bed hospital
• Perform ventilator management, settings adjustments, and troubleshooting for critical care patients
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and airway management
• Obtain arterial blood gases (ABGs) from A-lines and sticks and interpret results for clinical decisions
• Assist with intubations, codes, and rapid response interventions as part of the critical care team
• Document respiratory care, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR (Meditech preferred)
• Float to psych/rehab units and freestanding ER as required to support hospital needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and respiratory care protocols
