Night Shift Respiratory Therapist (RRT) travel contract in Omaha, NE — 13-week pediatric ICU opportunity (NICU/PICU/CICU) for experienced respiratory care clinicians with ventilator and Epic charting skills. - Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel RT (RRT)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00–07:00)
- Setting: NICU, PICU, CICU, Hospital — pediatric critical care, neonatal respiratory therapy
- Charting: Epic (Epic charting experience required)
- Equipment: Servo I ventilators experience required
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory ICU experience (pediatric and/or neonatal ICU preferred)
- National certifications required: BLS, PALS, CRT, RRT (CRT accepted at signing; RRT required once starting)
- NE state license (must apply within first 40 hours of signing; proof of application required)
- Experience with Servo I ventilators required — ventilator management (invasive & non-invasive)
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong cardiopulmonary assessment, airway management, and pediatric respiratory care skills
- First-time travelers accepted — travel RT jobs and temporary assignments welcomed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for neonates, infants, adolescents, and young adults in NICU, PICU, CICU, and medical-surgical settings
- Manage ventilators (non-invasive and invasive), ventilator weaning, and advanced ventilator strategies
- Perform airway management (natural and artificial), suctioning, bronchial hygiene, and pulmonary hygiene therapies
- Deliver medical gas therapy, aerosol/humidity management, and respiratory medication administration
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and assist in high-risk deliveries as needed
- Provide patient and family education on asthma, trach care, and other pulmonary disease management
- Float within scope to meet facility needs (no floating to sister facilities)
