- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010 - $2,160
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required between internal departments as needed
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Current Washington state respiratory therapist license in hand at time of submission
- Experience working independently in a Level III NICU
- Experience in a Level II regional trauma center is required
- Epic charting experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, CRT, and RRT
- Strong neonatal critical care skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Ability to float between units and remain flexible with scheduling
- Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays during the contract
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care for neonates and other patient populations as assigned
- Support care in a Level III NICU with autonomy and confidence
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, intubation support, and neonatal airway management
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases and provide ventilator management
- Deliver treatment for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and other respiratory interventions
- Respond to changing patient acuity and work effectively across multiple units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EHR system
