• Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) / Hybrid Cath Lab
• Assignment Type: Travel assignment (13-week travel surgical technologist contract)
• Start Date: March 31, 2026
• End Date: June 30, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10 (four 10-hour shifts per week) with rotating call schedule
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1920 - $2060 per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiac OR Surgical Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist/scrub technologist program
• Certification in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT) — CST preferred
• Active Colorado Certified Surgical Tech (CST) registration with DORA (required)
• Current BLS (American Heart Association)
• Ability to participate in a rotating call schedule and respond to emergency cardiac cases
• Traveler eligibility: permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures and hybrid cath lab cases as a core member of the CVOR team
• Prepare operating rooms, ensure proper sterilization, set up specialized cardiac instruments and implants
• Anticipate surgeon needs, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures
• Support multidisciplinary perioperative teams to promote safe, efficient patient care and positive outcomes
• Participate in rotating call and respond promptly to emergency surgical cases
• Accurately document procedures, instrument counts, and maintain compliance with hospital policies
