Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required
- Current applicable state licensure, if required
- ARDMS certification preferred, or equivalent relevant credential
- Experience in a hospital, acute care, or clinical imaging setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures, patient care, and safety standards
- Ability to collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare patients for sonography exams and provide clear instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Recognize and document relevant clinical information for interpretation by the medical team
- Ensure accurate patient identification, image labeling, and timely documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following infection prevention and safety guidelines
- Support efficient workflow and deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital setting
